FAQ QUESTIONS

At Pawminded we value transparency and communication. We know you are trusting us with your fur family member and we take that responsibility very seriously.

Below are some FAQ's, but please reach out for any additional questions. We look forward to connecting with you.

WHAT TYPE OF TRAINING METHODS DOES PAWMINDED USE?

Pawminded uses only science-based, 100% positive reinforcement training methods endorsed by the AHA, HSUS, SPCA, ASPCA and most Schools of Veterinary Medicine. No shock, "vibration", "e" collars, prong collars or choke collars.

WHERE DO TRAINING AND BOARDING TAKE PLACE?

Our training and boarding program takes place in Pawminded's dog-friendly and safe home. The house is set up specifically for Pawminded services in order to maintain the highest quality and care.

HOW MANY DOGS ARE YOU TRAINING AT ONE TIME?

We only take a limited number of students (doggies) at a time in order to allow the time/resources for each dog in the program.

WHAT SHOTS DOES MY PUPPY NEED TO HAVE BEFORE HE OR SHE CAN BE TRAINED?

All puppies need to have the following vaccines: Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Bordetella and Rabies Virus. Adenovirus 2 and Parainfluenza Virus vaccines are recommended but not required. When beginning the training and boarding training all the vaccines have to be up to date.

WHAT SHOTS DOES MY ADULT DOG NEED BEFORE TRAINING?

The essential vaccines include the DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvo, and Parainfluenza) have to be up to date. We also require the Bordetella vaccine and the Rabies vaccine.

CAN WE VISIT OUR DOG(S) DURING THEIR TRAINING AND BOARDING PROGRAM?

We noticed that visits of family members can be very counterproductive and disruptive for the training process, so we don't recommend it. However, we are very transparent and of course, if needed, you can visit your pup.

ARE MY DOGS SAFE?

Yes. Our home is doggy proof and doggy approved. Safety gates and 24/7 supervision is mandatory.

WHAT SHOULD I SEND WITH MY DOG DURING THEIR PROGRAM?

We recommend bringing your dog's food, favorite toys, and your dog's bed if you prefer (bed provided if not).

WHAT TYPE OF PAYMENTS DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept Venmo, cash, credit card, check and Paypal.
